Mrs. Jennifer Gianelli » Mrs. Gianelli

Mrs. Gianelli

I have been part of the LdV team since 2011.  In my 17 years of teaching I have had the pleasure of teaching Kindergarten, 1st and 4th grades. I grew up here in San Diego.  When I'm not here at school, I like to spend time with my husband and two children. We are a busy family, always doing something.  We might see you around town at the Zoo sometime!  I also volunteer as a Leader of my daughter's Girl Scout Troop.

Math Homework Today

Please help your child finish their math classwork and math homework today.  The concept today was about comparing lengths of objects.
Thank you!

Thank you to those of you who donated Kleenex!  Guess what?  We are on our LAST box!  If you have an extra box of Kleenex that you can donate, the kids will really appreciate it!
Thank you for your support!

February Reading Logs

Don't forget to turn in your February Reading logs.  5 reading logs have been turned in so far.

Our class has already collected $340 in donations for the READ-A-THON!!!!!!!
Please go to the read-a-thon website and create your child's page today using their secret code that we sent home yesterday and Friday.
Please log your child's reading minutes every night!
Thank you!

Read Across America

Please come read with us next week in the mornings.  Come to our class from 8-8:15am, next week, and read with your child or a few children.  Your participation lets them know how important reading is!  Let's help our readers become more successful.

Looking ahead...

Please be on the lookout for the Read-a-thon paper that went home today.  Please take a moment to log in and create an account for your child.  It's really easy, I showed them how to do it today.
Tomorrow I will send home a red paper that gives all the details of how we will celebrate Dr. Seuss Week, next week from March 2-6th.
If you are interested in coming to read with us next week.  Please come in any morning to read with your 1st grader or a small group of them from 8-8:15am.  Please let me know if you plan on coming to read.
Please check your child's head for Head Lice. It is always good to check every week.  If your child should have them, please treat them and remove ALL eggs and lice.  Wash all bedding, stuffed toys, clothes and carpets.
Thank you to everyone for the sweet Valentines gifts!!!
