everybody's doing okay a really strange time but we're just going to try and make the most of it it's going to be learning curve because I've never taught this way and a lot of is going to fall in your shoulders because I'm not there so I'm going to put out the work I can check on it I'm here to anybody it'll be up to you what you don't do at the end of the day will be made up I'm going to workout you decide as a family how much you want to do I'm you can do all of it you can just some of it none of it and I'm going to try and scare my screen to show you how I'm going to send the the assignments out and how your children can use the computer to working send it back to me first thing I'm going to do is see if page comes out as a d d i l i o Sebastian best movies during my messages will come from so I will put all my information for the parents on our class page and that'll come to you the students is going to be on a seesaw and I will send everybody so that you will have that before so all of our their work will be sent through seesaw and again I'm going to try sorry I'm looking back and forth because I want to make sure I get the information first thing we see if I can do and then I need to be able to get up here can you still hear me guess we can still hear you see saw is this is my page but yours child's don't get 5 minutes over here on this side so for example this would be one of the video math lessons that I sent home the week last week so what the students would do would be the click on it to listen to it at the end question and so they would come to hear add response this is a worksheet that they would have to you know fill out they can write on it this for some I'm going to try as best I can to read all the instructions of whatever I post on here so that they don't have to keep coming to you that they could just do it hopefully I'm independently so what they have is called a class Journal this is how they can respond they can do photo drawing video that can up how to file a photo they can write in a notepad or they can click on a link so for example if I ask them at the end of the video to ask him to do a sample they can write it on a piece of paper take a picture of it and it'll post click on here word says note and it comes up as a notepad they could also do a drawing so this is kind of like a whiteboard they can hit a text box where they I fit in Dayton hit the microphone and they would record that they can come down here and click on any of these markers pencils and the right colors of the shoes are off to the right hand side over here of how they can Dylan their answers and then they would just hit done and it would be sent to me and then I would be able to check their work and respond to them and they would be able to see whatever it is I wrote back so basically all the assignments will be on here some of them will have a link to other places one of the other places is called an epic books and summer click on the link would bring them here to this page and they would quick you can kind of see all their son little I can stare and they would click on their icon I'm going to click on guest student so for example all of these books here are leveled by bra and I'll read standard array level on the report card scroll down to find their dra level click on a book and then they have the option for the book to either reach of them or they can read it themselves and then also on here they'll have a I can assign them certain books to read and then that they'll be questions for them to answer and when they do answer it they can posted again on their seesaw account either by taking a picture by copying it and creating a file and uploading the file it's against a lot of trial-and-error going to take us a while to to get the work but epic books is a great place if you don't have a lot of books at home this is a great place to find books at their level and challenge them ReadWorks again is very similar epic books and again I would create a link they would just have to click on the link you and bring him here so for example if I assign them this article would read the article to them when they're done it has vocabulary words that they would go over and again this is all read to them you can kind of see the little microphone there and then at the very end it has a question set so then they can answer this questions here when they answer the questions here I have their information I would just log on and see the questions and stuff that they answered Zurn is very similar to imagine math except this lines up with our Eureka which is our Master Aquila and it's going to start off super simple for most but still be able to go through it quickly and then if they finished all of the lessons in kindergarten I can Them Bones them up until first grade some even finish first grade and be bumped up to so this is great for people everybody working at their own pace then to see someone just make sure I have yes so basically like I said I'm going to do the best I can to find lessons we'll have videos attached to them or stuff that they can do on their own so that it doesn't involve too much out of your time because I know it's been challenging everybody's got to figure out their work schedule helping their students if you have more than one child I get it and so what we didn't want to do was give you set times that they had to be at the computer everybody schedules are different for me get back to you them here and then right now I'm just going to I have anybody has any questions that they have can we have non speaker can we have is everybody muted that yeah I think so and then I know you don't to write this all down I am going to give you a hard copy pretty much of what I'd covered but I want to open it up for people if they have questions it's really just going to be all of us learning together here because I have no I've never even done the zoom I'm just happy that I got it to work so that's where I am right now so if anybody has questions you can unmute yourself it'll kind of go back and forth and then I have a question at the same time right now to 130 and then a break and then 1:45 to 2:30 to answer questions so originally mr. stepner had laid out that schedule and then when I talk to our K-12 team because most of them have young children and they're like I don't know how to make it work with also children schedule so we thought easier if we can post it all you guys work around your schedules and do the assignment you don't do anything on Mondays Mondays something else we wanted to have it a little bit more flexible I will be on those set times I think it's to 1 hour blocks I will be on in like this so any questions they can just pop how to say hi to each other but if we wanted to limit any set times for anybody I really do when do we start this so April 6th our original time back from spring break that's when we'll start so first thing Monday morning I will post a video message is that every single morning, I will email explain to them kind of what they'll be doing throughout the day and then I'll put this all in an email as well the 20 minutes on Imagine Learning I want to use it as you know whenever to fill in space and time I know that singer Vasquez is also working on ways to corporate furnished my don't know if she'll have them set timer to do something like this for sure post things and they can do the activities at their own pace also will be doing maybe like a dance party or posting exercise videos and stuff like that and then anybody who has at a 504 plan on IP said she will be contacting you will have specific times that don't have to work with you but other than that we're trying to keep it open got it for the children that don't have access to computers were using our phones right now if that's going to be an issue or yes and so I sent out a message are you getting my messages from Eddie Leo yes yes yes okay perfect mr. stepner is allowing students to borrow a Chromebook for anybody who needs them so if you would like one I'm going to write down here I'm making a list and sending it to him Jackson 5 that's cuz I was like oh my gosh we're gonna have a hard time Kaleo has a phone but it's too hard to do that on the phone so you can you can get one for each of the boys that's what I was hoping cuz I was like this is the only way I'm going to be able to get them to really like get on there and sit down and have their time to do their work and have a funeral just a schedule trying to figure out cuz I got it my high schooler to sell her computer actually was getting fixed the week that. So she has no computer either so I have to get in contact with her high school they're going to get her when I'm sure but it's just like I got three kids here and I got a computer that doesn't work so mister I'm going to send this message mr. stepner tonight and then he will be emailing all the parents that I have that I've requested and so I would think this week you probably set up a time for you to come in to get those okay yeah thank you I appreciate it no problem okay will try our hardest to do our best to be challenging and you know they're saying closing and definitely we don't know what that exactly means I think too much this has been kind of stressed everybody so this whole week I'm just like okay we're going to do reading that's it and then we'll concentrate on getting on the schedule maybe the week after just so they can we can all you know come to terms I don't want them to a schedule okay well thank you I appreciate it you're welcome unlike the other website I'll send to you as well I will post the problem sets for the Eureka lessons on their sea salt for them to do there if you want additional work you can and I'll send you the link to that website has anybody that has the lessons if you're confused as to what they're supposed to be doing after watching the video, it has the exact lessons that I would teach them I will post that as well for anybody who is interested yeah thank you I'm glad you sent him that the work in the folder he's been doing that in the meantime just keep with imagine learning math and the other worksheets Glee This starts their spring break which I know is not much of his spring break so you can do the math I will also send you the sites that I'm hooking up for them they're like Zurn is one that they English language arts math social studies that they can get on there and do activities it's a technically there break so let me see what else and this is also something that you can use and I know that a couple of parents that I know who have young kids as a way for them to see and talk to their friends you can set up like a playgroup with parent and have the kids get on here I know that one of them put on like a video on the TV and then everybody got on share screen like I did in and put up something that can be to watch a movie together they can watch a video together so just ways of staying connected again during those even if they just want to get on just to say hi to each other and see each other just again just to stay connected and kind of have that Community still so questions or anything that I can answer I know it's it's going to be a challenge and I've been checking my email mr. steam update sending them cuz it said it's getting a little much cuz I send it in somebody else's resend so I don't want to do that I do see that people are putting out their emails people if they want to share them that's fine too and like I said this is a great way to I know there's a couple of other options out there I on FaceTime Skype my son does Discord I don't really know what that is but it's similar to that up here I think that that's all I have and like I said I'm available if anybody needs me I hope everybody staying safe I know my kids are going a little crazy hopefully we get back to normal soon since I have to email I was hoping to get a Chromebook from school but I do enjoy a errand to the list so I'll just let him know thank you so much you're welcome you have a great night is everyone good night DC live forever so cute what year did Toys R Us that's playing deliver Viber Kansas fighting chair Debbie online school
