Erin Ungricht

Biography
Mrs. Ungricht set her sights on being a teacher in kindergarten at Marie Curie Elementary School in San Diego. Baby-sitting, working at a day-care center, and taking child development classes in high school, helped pave the path to her future teaching career. She studied Sociology at the University of California, San Diego, with an emphasis on bilingual education. After graduating, she taught in Mexico City and San Diego as a bilingual teacher. With a stroke of luck, she started teaching at Clear View Charter School and experienced the beauty of inquiry-based teaching. In 2009, working with an innovative group of educators and community members, Mrs. Ungricht helped found Leonardo da Vinci Health Sciences Charter School.  Mrs. Ungricht is now the English Language Development Teacher and Response to Intervention Coordinator helping all students reach their fullest potential.

In her time off, Mrs. Ungricht loves spending time with her family, hiking the trails at Mission Trails Park, researching genealogy, and listening to music.
