LDV we healthy everyday we grow and we learn to project base in Cree is Josh stepner director of Leonardo DaVinci charter school thank you for taking time to listen to this I wanted to give you a little update about what I feel is so special about our school there are many things for the highlighted one of the instances that I wanted to highlight was our project based learning assignments in our Spanish class Isis instill strategies and skills and students that are going to be beneficial for them in the long run with Spanish I can attest to my own personal story in that I have been able to receive many positions in my career due to the fact that I speak two languages so we are trying to impart that upon our students as well the other part about project brings in an aspect of working with colleagues new and work if you look at me other of the big company people are working in big groups together later on in life hi another aspect I'd like to speak about is our English language learner program we have a specific response to intervention program in which all of our students but typically our English language Learners get care and attention towards their education that's individualized and differentiated at their level one of the reasons we know this program is working is because we analyze the data frequently as a staff and we make decisions based on that data if you look around there's not a lot of opportunity to miss out for these kids because one year that they're behind is a year that they're not succeeding we take that very soon Bruce Lee here we try to find students at their best we try to place them with teachers that can strategize with them and we try to give them the best individualized instruction that they need for their education Prospect I'll talk about is our physical education everyday students are being Physically Active eating healthy snacks and they're also competing in very organized and structured games which teach them how to compete with honor competing with honor means whether you win or lose you're always showing your best strategies and putting your best foot forward and that's one of the main missions that we have here the last thing I'll mention is the is the students they are the sweetest most intelligent most caring people that you could possibly want your kids around and it's one thing that makes me wake up every day to come to this job is their smiles and their attitudes if you're ever interested in coming to ldvcs every single day.
