In accordance with our School Safety Policy, all volunteers must have a current tuberculosis (TB) test and criminal record check on file.


To meet the criminal background check, all LdVCS volunteers must be fingerprinted through the San Diego County Office Of Education (SDCOE).  Visit https://www.sdcoe.net/livescan/loc.asp for information, forms, and to schedule an appointment for "Request for Livescan Service." Cost of this service is $49.00, payable in the form of a Money Order or Cashier's Check made out to SDCOE.

I.STATEMENT OF PURPOSE:


This policy sets forth the requirement for a criminal record check and current tuberculosis test (TB) on file in the school for all LdVCS employees and volunteers over the age of 18.


II.GENERAL STATEMENT OF POLICY


For the safety of our children, all LdVCS employees and volunteers over the age of 18, with the exception of law enforcement who submit current government issued certification/identification, must be fingerprinted and a criminal background clearance should be received by our school prior to employment/volunteering. The criminal record check must be completed through the San Diego County of Education, located at 6410 Linda Vista Road, San Diego, 92111.  The cost is $49, payable by money order or cashier’s check made out to SDCOE.  Visit www.sdcoe.net/livescan/loc.asp for additional information.  Additionally, volunteers must have a current tuberculosis test (TB) on file in the school office.
